STEPHEN RODRICK, the poet of pop culture leaves no stone unturned in his stunning New York Times expose on the filming of “The Canyons.”

Directed by Paul Schrader (who produced “Taxi Driver”, “The Mosquito Coast,” and  “Raging Bull”) and written by Brett Easton Ellis (“American Psycho”) one wonders if “The Canyons” is a disgrace to two once promising careers or a turn of frothy genius?  This film has gained tremendous momentum due to the Rodrick expose, vintage trailers and by embracing B movie imagery and tone. “The Canyons” debuts theatrically and through VOD on August 2nd.
